Off-net Solution Complements Broadview’s Network
Rye Brook, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--November 9, 2005--Broadview Networks, a leading facilities-based communications provider in the Northeast, which recently combined with BridgeCom International, today announced a key commercial agreement with Verizon. Under the agreement, Broadview Networks has access to Verizon’s Wholesale Advantage service platform throughout its seven-state service area.
“This agreement provides telecommunications customers in the Northeast with the best of both worlds,” said Michael K. Robinson, Broadview Networks’ chief executive officer. “It allows us to offer customers a package that combines our extensive suite of on-net products with the full network of the incumbent, all of which are supported by our nationally recognized customer service. While the agreement enables us to offer customers off-net solutions, we are an on-net enterprise. Most of our customers are served by our own advanced, integrated network.”
”The agreement increases the Company’s reach in the markets it currently serves,” Robinson said, “and opens new markets as well.” Broadview Networks currently serves over 400,000 voice and data lines.
“There’s no question that this agreement paves the way for future growth,” said Brian Crotty, Broadview Networks’ president and chief operating officer. “We intend to cover our existing markets better, and will move into additional markets throughout our service area. We already have increased the size of our sales force by 25 percent since July, and have opened several new sales offices. We can sell aggressively based on our product, service and network strengths. Broadview Networks intends to grow, and to be as dynamic as the markets we serve.”
